April Awareness Celebrations: Alchemizing, Strategizing, Prioritizing

Welcome April Blossoms of Beauty and Bravery!
As we near the end of April, May Transformations are beckoning! There are so many April celebrations that are near and dear to my heart, I had to speak to them before month’s end! Even though the bigger, better spotlights I woulda, coulda, shoulda given the following didn’t happen, we can still take a mindful moment of honoring and recognition. Let me first recognize you with gratitude for being here and honoring us with your time, heart, and mind. Thank you for being here!

April! The month that is often a menopausal one for our Mother with her warm flashes and surprise storms. April is the time of recognition of our mother with Earth Day/Month. Of course, Earth Day every day of the year yet April 22 is a longstanding calendarization for our attention. We love you mama earth! We have this and other earth songs featured on our ETV Music Video page.

April is also the official month to celebrate Young Children and Libraries; 2 cornerstones of our work/play at Leaping Literacy Online Library!

Much as I thought I would leverage these celebrations this month with progress in the Library and new production work, my main focus was inward yet again. I came face to face with an ongoing health challenge that actually has its roots in another April occasion ~ today is the 42nd year anniversary of breaking my neck. The vlog below speaks to the journey. Some of the metaphysical nuggets are letting go of ‘old fixes’ and employing new opportunities, releasing resistance, allowing alchemy, transcendence, and evolution, trusting transformation. I still struggle with the volume of me expressing concisely! I did this April vlog twice and while the 2nd time conceivably is more organized and concise, it is just as long and in fact, a bit longer than the 1st! The 1st one was full of tears and led me to some places I needed to go to gain the clarity for the 2nd one 🙂 I spent time producing the 1st one and had vowed to put it out so in a game time decision, I am posting both onsite in the quiet vlog space. If you are going to invest the time, I highly recommend the 2nd one over the 1st. Yet, in the spirit of birth and death, i did post both, at least for now. So goes the journey of messy me trusting the divinity of alchemy!

There are MANY celebrations, every month and every DAY! In the April Vlog 2, I celebrate some of them noted TODAY from the fun website https://www.holidaycalendar.io whereby they give all the history and significance of each day’s celebration/honoring. Apparently, anyone can start a Day with a little momentum! April 28th is noted for many things including Biological Clock Day, Clean Comendy Day, National Super Hero Day, Pet Parent Day, Stop Food Waste Day, Great Poetry Reading Day and more! I read from the great Unity poet James Dillet Freeman in Vlog 2 as a nod to another of today’s celebrations, ‘Pay It Forward Day’. Poets indeed pay it forward sometimes for generations with the power of their words!

There is an infinity of ways we can focus and show up any moment, day, month. There are so many celebrations, honorings, ponderings we can give our time, heart, and mind to. By following our heart and natural curiosity, we are aligniung with our soul purpose in being here, in this incarnation and lifetime. With our own unique gifts and skills, we are here to serve each other and our own soul’s purpose in choosing to be here now.

There is much to say about where Leaping Literacy Library is now and is going yet I will be ok, this anniversary day with just being messy me, showing up as me ~ the light of divinity mirroring the same in YOU! Free from needing to be anything more. My latest song is on the site Blog page, Be Free. As I root in the call of prayer (James Dillet Freeman) and the sense of what free is for me, I allow this moment’s April alchemy to be enough. Just right. As is. Divine perfection expertly evolving through transformation. That is a celebration! Thanks for being with me and your own divine alchemy. Namaste, Love!

The Quintessence Of Remembrance

239.QuietReflectionNamaste Quiet Reflections of Reverence & Remembrance!

I greet you today with a deep reverence and respect … for what it is to be alive and what it is to choose to be in oneness remembrance this moment … big breath of connection and reflection … with some reverie & celebration!237.QuackGo ahead and QUACK! Or make any other sound your heart calls you to … a sound of celebration or frustration, retribution or solution … an animal or human sound or any other that is to be found in your remembering being this moment! By giving our thoughts and inner world a voice, we invite in more awareness … of oneness with all that is. Mmmm … oneness is a reverent remembrance worth quacking for!242.Remember

The Quintessence Of Remembrance
There are a myriad of things for us to remember in our busy lives … as a mom spiritually single parenting a 16 year old and a 91 year old in 2 households as well as running Creative Spirit Families & Leaping Literacy Online Library, I sometimes feel like my mind is constantly in review and execution of a never ending To do List. Does busy you ever feel like that too? I often say, ‘more list than day’ which I know is a self defeating affirmation! So I counter affirm, “It is not I but the Spirit within that doeth the work.” Ah, opening up to divinity, infinity, and the quintessential remembrance of who I truly be does indeed set me free!

As our song, “I Remember” affirms, “I remember who I am. I’m a child of God born to Love and serve in all the best ways I can. When I look down deep inside of me, then I truly understand. I’m a child of God born to Love and serve. I remember who I am!”

Whatever your name for God or Source, we have a thread or direct connection to our origin. When we set our intention to remember, we open our hearts and minds to an ever expanding consciousness that allows more of this remembrance. As we affirm the pervasive presence of sacredness, our awareness is heightened. We see through our hearts with eyes of reverence.241.EyesReverence

Seeing life with reverence can be an AWEsome experience of soul expansion. It is also accessed through joy, play, deLIGHT! Our spiritual reality is one that we develop through our daily spiritual practices ~ at New Thought Families, we employ the energies of pray and play as ways to be more connected and aware …  to take care of ourselves, each other, (global) family, and our planet home. Though we engage in grateful ThanksLiving for our abundance, we also stay in prayer care of our resources.243.RRRLiving Green has always been a thing for me. I remember as a young child crying when I saw litter on the ground. What I have found as an adult in this throw away society is that being reverent and respectful with our resources requires slowing down. And slowing down seems to really lend itself to a prayerful way of being! I quit using a clothes dryer about 10 years ago … hanging the clothes to dry always offers me more time to be mindful and grateful for the clothes themselves … and the water & soap that washed them, the places in our home where they hang to dry, sun, wind,  as well as the hands that made them before they got to me! I am engaging prayerful reverence & gratitude as well as playful imagination, intuition, connection. Oneness! Sure, there are times where my mind is busy on the “To Do’s” of the day as I hang up the clothes … And! I can always remind myself to remember to be yessing the blessing at hand.244.RespectRelationsThe more I practice the ways of remembrance, reverence, and reverie, the better able I am to respect and revere ALL creations! I’ve come along way on say … spiders … while admittedly, I still have a ways to go on a certain current Presidential candidate and those (in my family!) who are choosing to vote for him! Still and all, daily spiritual practice provides Presence for ALL my relations!

The Breath Of Remembrance

Breathe deep and give thanks!
Breathe deep the Love expressed you are!

Namaste Blessed Breath Of Love Expressed!

In this mindful Monday moment, on this U.S. Presidents Day holi-day following St. Valentine’s Day, let’s pause to breathe in Love remembrance. Yes, we can remember inspirational people like presidents … feeling the love filled legacies they left behind or continue to embark upon. Perhaps you can gratefully breathe in the love of family, friends, community, nature … any Love that has ignited your heart and lit your path. So much Love filled inspiration to tap into! Yet, what I invite you to most remember in this moment is the Love expressed you are ~ the Love you are created from and continue to co-create every sacred moment whether you remember or not. So let’s remember NOW! Let’s celebrate the sacred!
SacredOutCelebration of the sacred is core to our New Thought Families mission and messages. As is remembrance. We are celebrating our 8th year on line this week/month … debuting on 2/7/2007, we typically put out a celebratory remembrance on the February day corresponding to the year … in this case, yesterday ~ 2/15/2015. I had several visions/plans for this but instead simply surrendered them into a prayer for further guidance and some powerful partnership. Below is more on how this prayer was answered yesterday and continues to unfold but here and now is our 2013 Love Expressed which remains a voice for our New Thought Families core beliefs of remembrance:

And of course, our daily invitations are always available on our Play & Pray Every Day Calendar!

So in the midst of our sacred remembrance this mindful moment, let’s talk about Love. What is Love? What is it to you? For me, it truly is the divine flowing through life … it is all Love! As Ernest Holmes said and we sing, it is Always Love! Whether it is an act of Love or a cry for Love, it is always Love. My own acts of Love for my father have sorta taken over my life the last few weeks. He has been in the hospital a month and goes home Wednesday. Logistically, this has turned into yet another unpaid job in my life and an amazing opportunity for me to practice unconditional Love as well as deepened self care. I rejoined the gym last week … I thought it had only been a few years but I was there last in 2008! Some workouts did me a world of good and even got the bulge to budge a few pounds which was a sacred celebration! Mostly, it was just an important body mind Spirit act of Love for me. For my father’s part, there are many aspects of his journey I could focus on … he is dying of congestive heart failure. He is not religious or spiritual and often very negative. He is a classic example of how hurt people hurt people. Yet we are doing some sort of remembrance dance. I am there for him to remember he is loved ~ among other things ~ this seems to be the one he most grasps. He is there for me to remember that I am here to be of service. And he and his situation remind me that our elders are not to be discarded or forgotten. I am also remembering to take great care of me and to re-align with all that calls me to do while I am here and healthy enough to do it. This includes healing the wounds of my heart ~ something my father couldn’t do; in part because he simply didn’t have the consciousness tools to work with. Thankfully, I do. So I honor my heart with all the Love I can. I pledge allegiance to my heart this patriotic President’s Day ~ written this time last year, I remember it again now uttering it in a sacred vow:

Allegiance1In sacred surrender, allegiance, and remembrance, I was blessed with a strong connection yesterday that may actually bring our New Thought Families vision and work back to our old church where we had a Youth Choir and an awesome Peace Cabaret. Those ministry days still play in my heart and I am open to next steps of service and evolution for all of us. The youth education director there is an amazing woman who knew Dr. King Jr as a child … her own father being a Baptist minister and civil rights leader in his own right. The synergies of our work are strong … despite the difference in our backgrounds ~ and our fathers! Yet, Spirit is always weaving this web of Love called life … stay fine tuned!

This week my Jeremiah turns 15 and is counting down the days to get behind the wheel. (gulp) The Christian Lenten season also begins this week with Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. I am meditating on a 40 day practice, not as penance but as co-creation. I could definitely benefit with giving up sugar again but I am breathing into something much more challenging … perhaps actively seeking and allowing myself into a soul mate relationship. There. I said it. January 2014’s PlayShop had me constructing the Vision Board for him/us and November 2014 had me marrying myself. Valentine’s Day 2015 had me full deep breathing so much Love … and yet as I dance the dance of remembrance of who I truly be, I know that I am deserving and capable of a rich and satisfying relationship. I have healed something in my soul that had me choose the father I did. I am pledging allegiance to a grace filled existence of tender loving care. I choose to remember I have a soul mate and I choose to dance with him now. Ooohhh …. breathe that in! ~ And breathe in your own deep heart desires, Love!

Breathe deep and give thanks!
Breathe deep and give thanks!

On that breath of Love, I bid you adieu until next Mindful Monday when I’ll let you know just what 40 day practice I embrace! May your heart be full of Love, sweet Love. Thank you, thank you, Love! Namaste.
