I greet you in the name of Love! How is your Love life? That is to say how are you living your life of Love?! Our sweet ’16 Alphabetic Calendar has us at the lovely letter L in a celebration of Love, life, light, laughter! As we remember who we truly be, our shining light illuminates our path of living Love expressed.Live like a llama ~ or a lama?! Of course, the Dali Lama is an enlightened soul we can aspire to be like; shining light of kindness, unconditional Love acting for justice, peace, goodness. The animal llama also offers some luminescent life lessons we can emulate. In particular, like the Dali Lama, llamas are willing to be of service; as pack animals they will carry a weight for a long distance. Yet! When the weight becomes too much to bear, the llama will lay down, refusing to take another step. Sometimes, they even spit angrily to get the point across. When their load is lightened, they will resume their service. Brilliant self preservation! I am learning this wise boundary setting … living like a llama treating myself as well as others, with kindness and compassion.
Grow Love? Of course! We plant seeds and nurture them with our thoughts, words, deeds. We also grow Love every time we remember to bring Love to a situation where there seems to be a lack of Love. A prayer grows Love in our own hearts as well as in those we are praying for. An apology grows Love in whomever we have wronged and in our own hearts as we consciously recognize where we have fallen out of Love, speaking our intention to rectify and replenish.Living Big Love is being in Love with life itself. Loving the holy, divine presence always available is living our Love life. Letting life lift us up with the beauty of nature, and the good in humanity is living our Love life. There is plenty of smallness all around us. Yet, when we reach for Big Love, it is always reaching back … to Love, to dance and play … to LAUGH!
