Happy Valentine’s Day! Greetings in the name of Love! This week’s mindful matter is conscious commitment to Love. I use the big L for Love to remind us of the big Love that it is …. the life Love of Source, of God, of whatever you call our Creator. I most often call this Love God and my heart happily expresses my commitment to God here this Mindful Monday. Now, just what does this commitment look like? In this moment, it looks like my fingers pinging away at the keyboard; mindfully showing up because I’ve committed to do so. I am also consciously choosing to recognize the Love that feeds this commitment.
The choice to commit is often much easier than the follow through. My current challenge for New Thought Families involves wrestling with resistance and the dance between avoidance & action in finishing our Vision page & multi-media presentation. Now more than ever partnership is called for and in answering this call, I battle my inner demons of doubt & fear. I am calling on courage to feed the conscious commitment I will not forsake. Ahhhh … deep breath.
What commitments call to you? Are you conscious of them? We are all living the choices of our commitments; committed to life we breathe & eat & sleep & live in so many ways. Committed to our children, we feed & clothe them and get them to school, sports, lessons, friends, etc. And whether or not we do it consciously, we constantly re-commit to ourselves, our children, spouse, boss, parents … whoever, whatever we choose to give our time, attention, and energy to … that’s commitment. Hopefully our commitments are conscious and are coming from Love. And if and when we become aware of the commitments that are no longer serving us/others, may we have the courage to cleanse, re-commit & re-create as necessary. This day of Love & this mindful week, I invite you to be consciously clear about your commitments & how they are co-creating the Love you live.
